Paua (Abalone) Shell Tiles

These shell veneers are top-mounted onto 3mm sheet glass so that you see the beauty of the shell at the surface of your tesserae rather than through the glass. We use a specially formulated 3M Brand resin to adhere the shell veneer to the glass. This adhesive is formulated so that it will not react with the calcium in the shell and therefore not discolor or peel after years of wear. You also don't need to worry about any reaction to your adhesive.

The lamination is also a revolutionary process and seals and protects the shell.

Tile Size: 4" x 5". They are easily cut with a glass cutter and running plier.
